C# Developer - Contract

Duration: 6 months
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey


Employing company offer a SaaS platform which is white labeled to clients (UK & Europe) and delivers Insurance services (Clients are Insurance, Financial services companies). Integrating with many points and managing huge volumes of data and portals which give access to the Insurance companies and the policy holders.

You will be joining an inhouse development team who run a TDD environment

Essential Skills for the role (5yrs+)

  • Strong C# Coder - 90%+ hands-on coding with SOLID Principles
  • .Net 4.5 (WebAPI, REST and WCF Web Services)
  • Unit Testing, Test Driven Development
  • Strong appreciation of Domain Driven Design and Service Oriented Architecture
  • Design Patterns, Enterprise Integration Patterns (Service Bus Pattern, Publish/Subscribe) (2yrs+)
  • Front End (HTML5, CSS, LESS, Standards
  • Compliance)
  • JavaScript Development/SPA - (Angular, JS unit testing frameworks)


Very Beneficial

  • TSQL, ORM (Entity Framework/EF), Performance
  • Tuning, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL
  • Messaging Systems - NServiceBus, MSMQ
  • DevOps (Powershell, Thoughtworks GoCD)


Principle activities to be carried out include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking the continued Design and Development of our software systems, employing best practice development techniques (including Test Driven Development, Design Patterns etc.)
  • Actively participating in the Agile development process, including Sprint Planning and Retrospectives
  • Working closely with our Technical and Change Management teams to deliver projects to specification, on time and to budget - reporting progress to relevant stakeholders throughout
  • Helping to ensure the stability and performance of delivered systems through the application of suitable architecture and design
  • Creating and maintaining documentation as required
  • Cooperating with company stakeholders to develop requirements as part of the development process
  • Undergoing peer code reviews
