C# .NET Developer to work on eCommerce



Central London (W1) eCommerce solutions consultancy.

High profile client list. Its almost impossible for you not to have entered one of their clients high street or online stores.

Online stores will receive a high volume of hits and must be resilient to peak loads when marketing campaigns are run.

These are exciting systems to work on and the clients require a solution/ platform which is scalable and serviceable.

Opportunity to join a highly skilled development team who have many years experience delivering large eCommerce sites. All team members have strong communication skills and are problem solvers.

If you share an enthusiasm for technology, an aptitude to learn quickly and get a kick out of delivering commercial solutions which will be used by millions of users then this might be an environment you would enjoy working in.

The Development team follow a Agile / Scrum approach and TDD. Developers take on project responsibility and have the influence to voice ideas and trial new techniques and technology. Should you wish to take on larger systems architecture responsibility and client facing tasks you would be welcome to do so. However, those who prefer to focus on hard coding will also find a space here.

Skills required:
  • 3 years + C# .NET ASP.NET (MVC or Webforms). They key is efficient code, understanding of good practice and OO Concepts
  • Mid or Senior level experience building OO systems. eCommerce is desirable, not essential
  • WCF SOA, JSON, REST skills are relevant to this environment, but not essential
  • Javascript knockout, Angular.js. Not essential, but they do work with Javascript databinding, AJAX
  • SQL SERVER 2008+ (Stored Procs etc)
  • Appreciation of Unit testing. IoC, DI, SOLID, Mocks, Cucumber BDD, Selenium. All relevant
  • Intelligent - Cognitive & Emotional (If you took A'Levels then you will have good grades, if someone tells a joke you get the punch line, when discussing requirements you can prioritise)


Right now this company is working on x5 large eCommerce projects. The use of technology varies depending on the project. Projects are bespoke and the end platform is owned by the client. It's not based on a product which needs configuring. Its full cycle, greensite development. 100% built inhouse in London.
